YZi Labs is a venture capital investment firm that evolved from Binance Labs to operate as an independent fund. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the firm manages more than $10 billion in capital for Binance founder Changpeng Zhao and co-founder Yi He. Ella Zhang leads the organization as Managing Partner and Head of YZi Labs, directing an investment thesis that spans all stages across Web3, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
The firm targets foundational infrastructure, decentralized finance protocols, consumer applications, and AI enablement. Historical investments originating from its incubator and venture track record include leading the $6 million Series A round for LayerZero in 2021, backing 1inch in its 2020 seed round, and participating in strategic financing for PancakeSwap, Manta Network, and Ankr in 2022. That April, it led the Series B round for hardware wallet maker OneKey and backed the BNB Chain prediction market predict.fun. In May 2026, YZi Labs led an $8 million pre-seed round for AI payment protocol AEON, followed by an investment in fixed-rate lending protocol TermMax in August 2026. The firm also operates early-stage builder initiatives through its EASY Residency and the Atlas Scout program.
