AuthLN
Identity and access security network with write-once audit logs and two issued U.S. patents
What is AuthLN?
AuthLN, the Auth Lineage Network, is an identity and access management infrastructure system built to verify who was permitted into an environment, what software was authorized to act, and on whose authority. Every authentication decision and access grant is logged to a write-once record that lies outside the reach of the calling systems.
Founding and leadership
AuthLN was founded in August 2024 and is based in Dublin, Ohio. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mike Siers is a military combat veteran and repeat entrepreneur who created AuthLN's patented approach to access verification. Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer Dennis Edwards, PhD, brings 30 years of experience spanning 15 years as a computer science professor and more than a decade leading enterprise cybersecurity architecture. Retired Rear Admiral William E. Chase III, former Deputy Commander of Joint Force Headquarters - DoD Information Network, is an advisor.
Core architecture and services
The system operates in two core layers. Factor Assurance is the entrance layer positioned in front of an enterprise's existing identity providers, including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and JumpCloud. It intercepts sign-in attempts and logs each outcome as Authorized, Denied, or Walked awayand forwards a single consolidated event and correlation identifier directly to the security operations center. Authentication factors supported in production include device-bound passkeys generated inside hardware security boundaries, proximity verification matching device GPS with network geolocation, and hybrid ML-DSA-65-ES256 passkeys using post-quantum signatures.
The second layer, Agent Authority, is designed to govern sub-agents and automated tasks by verifying that every downstream action strictly narrows authority back to a human grant. A complementary two-week Agent Access Review uses read-only configuration exports to audit running agents and map permissions without requiring software agents or credential disclosure.
Track record and operational trade-offs
The company announced its cybersecurity platform in September 2024 and holds two issued U.S. patents: US 11,956,366 and US 12,118,550. It completed a SOC 2 Type I audit, while its SOC 2 Type II assessment remains underway. Agent Authority remains under active development rather than fully deployed.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Holds two issued U.S. patents covering its identity and access architecture
- Integrates in front of Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google, and JumpCloud without rerouting
- Logs walked-away connection attempts alongside standard successes and failures
- Requires no local agent installation or credential sharing for access reviews
Cons
- Agent Authority product for automated sub-agent enforcement is not yet available
- SOC 2 Type II examination is not yet complete
Our review
AuthLN provides a tamper-resistant audit layer for sign-in events and agent actions, while Agent Authority remains unreleased.
AuthLN (the Auth Lineage Network) develops identity and access-management infrastructure aimed at resolving authentication and machine delegation risks. Led by founder and CEO Mike Siers and cofounder Dennis Edwards, PhD, the company holds two issued U.S. patents (US 11,956,366 and US 12,118,550) and has completed a SOC 2 Type I examination.
The company structures its platform into separate operational tiers. Its shipped product, Factor Assurance, stands in front of standard identity providers like Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and JumpCloud. It logs every sign-in attempt into three distinct states: Authorized, Denied, or Walked away. Recording abandoned attempts captures untrusted origin signals that standard logs missand stores all outputs on a write-once ledger outside the target system's reach.
- Hardware-bound passkeys, device GPS proximity verification, and hybrid post-quantum signatures (ML-DSA-65-ES256).
- Write-once audit logs held outside the system being recorded.
- Agent Authority, the system designed to narrow and gate sub-agent delegation, is still under development and not yet available.
AuthLN suits enterprise security teams and organizations running autonomous AI agents that require strict lineage tracking and proof of human authority.

Key features
Factor Assurance gate
Stands directly in front of Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and JumpCloud to log sign-in attempts as Authorized, Denied, or Walked away.
Post-quantum passkeys
Supports ML-DSA-65-ES256 hybrid passkeys alongside hardware-bound keys and proximity-based GPS checks.
Immutable access records
Writes authentication attempts, grants, and refusals to a tamper-proof log maintained outside the system being monitored.
Agent access review
Inventories active agents and maps permission hierarchies in two weeks using read-only exports without installing software.
Agent Authority lineage
Restricts multi-step AI agent workflows so that each delegated sub-action strictly narrows human-granted permissions.
Inside AuthLN
Factor Assurance
The deployed decision layer operating in front of identity providers to log all sign-in attempts as Authorized, Denied, or Walked away.
Agent Authority
An upcoming access control gate that restricts autonomous software actions so each delegation narrows authority and traces to an authorized individual.
Agent Access Review
A two-week assessment using read-only exports to inventory agents and map what each can reach and under whose authority.
The Record
A write-once audit log stored outside the acting environment so neither users, identity providers, nor agents can modify authentication history.

FAQ
Who founded AuthLN?
AuthLN was founded in 2024 by CEO Mike Siers, a military combat veteran and inventor, alongside cofounder and CTO Dennis Edwards, PhD.
What security audits and patents does AuthLN hold?
AuthLN has completed a SOC 2 Type I review and holds two issued U.S. patents: US 11,956,366 and US 12,118,550.
What is the difference between Factor Assurance and Agent Authority?
Factor Assurance is a shipped product that logs identity provider sign-in attempts as Authorized, Denied, or Walked away on a write-once record. Agent Authority is an upcoming product designed to gate and trace AI agent actions back to human authorization.
What does an Agent Access Review involve?
An Agent Access Review is a two-week assessment conducted entirely from read-only configuration exports with nothing installed. It delivers an inventory of running agents, a permissions map, and an internal remediation plan.
