What is Fideum?
Company and ownership
Fideum Group Limited is a private company registered in England and Wales under number 14811251. Companies House dates its incorporation to April 18, 2023 and lists a registered office at 128 City Road, London. The privacy policy gives a second address, on Naugarduko street in Vilnius, Lithuania. Both active directors, Anastasija Plotnikova and Vilius Gudavicius, are Lithuanian nationals living in Lithuania.
Plotnikova is chief executive and a co-founder. She holds more than 25% of the shares, according to Companies House, as do Darren Franceschini and Kelghe D'Cruz; D'Cruz resigned as a director on August 20, 2026. In June 2025 Valereum PLC, quoted on the Aquis Stock Exchange, committed €1.7 million for a minority stake, payable in tranches through June 2026. Mastercard named Fideum overall winner of its Lighthouse FINITIV program in fall 2023.
Custody model and security
Under its Terms, last updated June 2, 2026, Fideum licenses software and does not take custody of assets on a client's behalf. The custody module is described as key-management software with configurable wallet infrastructure and policy controls, plus integrations with qualified custodians. Clients remain responsible for safeguarding API keys and signing material.
Marketing pages go further. The site cites MPC custody and HSM-backed key management, and the security page describes offline cold wallets paired with policy-controlled warm wallets for execution, with quorum approvals for sensitive operations. That page also says assets are held by licensed custodians, though it names none. Fireblocks and Blockdaemon appear among the partner logos on the homepage.
Regulation and insurance
Clause 2.4 of the Terms says Fideum does not act as a client's broker, dealer, custodian of record, exchange, payment institution or counterparty. Before activation, clients must pass a know-your-business review that includes beneficial-owner checks and sanctions screening. English law governs the agreement.
The homepage calls the platform regulated, and a Fideum Group page is billed as covering the companies and licenses behind it, yet neither page names a regulator or a registration number. Valereum's June 2025 announcement said Fideum had registered VASPs in Europe, an MSB registration in Canada and a PSP license in Australia, with a MiCA CASP license described as upcoming. As of October 2026, ESMA's interim register of authorized crypto-asset service providers listed no Fideum entity. Insurance is mentioned on the homepage and support page without a carrier or limit, and the site refers to SOC controls without citing a SOC report or an auditor.
Products and integrations
The Terms list six modules: custody and key-management software, trading and execution APIs, staking orchestration, settlement and payment orchestration, tokenization and registry tooling, and dashboards with reporting. Orders route through Fideum's APIs while the client keeps its own venue relationships, and fiat or stablecoin transfers are carried out by the client or its regulated providers. Staking orchestration covers validator selection and reward accounting across proof-of-stake networks. The website adds AML screening, KYC and KYB checks, Travel Rule support and white-label crypto products for banks, credit unions, brokerages and fintech platforms.
Asset availability depends on jurisdiction and service tier, according to the support page. Company LinkedIn posts list 11 fiat currencies, including EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD and MXN. Announced partners include FLUIDEFI, a Canadian DeFi data firm, for a white-label tokenization and reporting platform (June 2025), and Blubird, whose real-world asset marketplace uses Fideum for payments and wallet support (September 2025). Clients pay subscription fees set in an individual order form, with invoices due within 30 days.

Our review
Fideum offers a broad software bundle for institutions that already work with a licensed custodian. With no named license, insurer or SOC report in its public materials, it is a weak match where a regulated custodian is required.
Fideum packs a long product list into one contract. A bank or fintech can license custody and key-management software, trading APIs, staking orchestration and payment orchestration from a single vendor, then run KYC and AML checks from the same dashboard. For an institution that wants fewer vendors, that consolidation is the main draw. The Terms are also direct about who does what: Fideum supplies the software, and the client safeguards its own signing material.
Verification is the weak spot. The website calls the platform regulated and mentions insurance and SOC controls, yet it names no regulator, license number, insurer, coverage limit or audit report. The only specific licensing claims come from investor Valereum's 2025 announcement, and ESMA's MiCA register does not list Fideum. Assets sit with licensed custodians that Fideum leaves unnamed, so public material does not show who would hold client funds or under which charter.
Fideum's institutional focus is recent. The UK company was incorporated in April 2023. A February 2024 company release still promoted a non-custodial multi-currency wallet for retail and institutional users and linked to the BlockBank app, while the current Terms limit the platform to institutional clients and exclude retail consumers. Valereum's investment commitment and the 2023 Mastercard Lighthouse award point to commercial traction, though neither is a regulatory credential.
Asset coverage is hard to judge. Fideum publishes no list of supported assets or networks, and the support page ties availability to jurisdiction and service tier. Fiat coverage is clearer, with company posts naming 11 currencies from EUR and GBP to TRY and MXN. The careers page lists six full-time sales roles, all based in the United States, yet none of Fideum's materials names a US registration.
Fideum fits fintechs and brokerages that already work with a licensed custodian and want custody software, staking and payments from one vendor. Institutions that require a regulated custodian with named insurance and audited controls will find little in the public record to rely on.
