Nash is a non-custodial digital asset platform that pairs a multi-chain order book exchange and Web3 wallet with integrated traditional banking features. Unlike standard centralized exchanges, the platform lets users execute trades and manage funds directly from self-custodied addresses using multi-party computation security, reducing exchange counterparty holding risk.
Corporate structure and leadership
The platform operates under parent entity Neon Exchange Aktiengesellschaft, headquartered in Liechtenstein, alongside Dutch operating subsidiary Nash Exchange B.V. Co-founder Ethan Fast serves as Chief Technology Officer, while Kellogg Fairbank has led the organization as Chief Executive Officer since May 2021. Executive leadership also includes Chief Operating Officer Rob Farmer and Chief Marketing Officer Marc Vekemans, who both joined in September 2021.
Trading mechanics and custody architecture
Nash operates a non-custodial order book exchange where user assets remain protected under user-generated keys rather than pooled exchange wallets. Account security uses Multi-Party Computation (MPC) protocols. Through these tools, users can set custom withdrawal limits, address whitelists, and personalized security permissions. For decentralized swaps, the platform integrates aggregators such as 1inch and Odos across multiple blockchains including Ethereum. Integrated Dutch euro IBAN accounts are provided through partner Modulr Finance B.V., which is regulated as an Electronic Money Institution by De Nederlandsche Bank.
Fee structure and regional access
Exchange trading features a 0% maker fee, while taker fees follow volume-scaled tiers. Account creation and wallet storage are available globally, but full fiat banking rails, debit cards, and bank transfer capabilities are limited to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. All fiat transactions process strictly in euros.
Regulatory licensing and product limitations
Nash originally registered with the Financial Market Authority (FMA) of Liechtenstein before de-registering to pursue unified authorization under European Union regulations. As of October 2026, Nash Exchange B.V. has a pending Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license application under review with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). While this review continues, the Nash Fiat Ramp and the Nash Earn yield program (which previously offered yields up to 7.4% APY) are temporarily paused. Users also face operational risks including reliance on third-party EMI rails for euro settlements and smart-contract risks when executing on-chain swaps.
