Self-custodial wallet for 100+ blockchains, acquired by Binance in 2018
Trust Wallet is a self-custodial wallet for iOS, Android and Chrome. It supports more than 100 blockchains and over 10 million digital assets, with storage, swaps, staking, purchases and Web3 tools in one interface. Users keep their private keys on their devices.
Viktor Radchenko founded Trust Wallet in 2017. He is a software developer with a background in cybersecurity and mobile applications. Binance acquired the wallet in July 2018, and Trust Wallet has operated independently since 2023. Eowyn Chen is its CEO. The company reported more than 220 million users in 2025.
No account is required for the wallet, and its self-custodial model gives Trust Wallet no access to user funds or private keys. New wallets use a 12-word seed phrase, with PIN and optional biometric protection. An encrypted seed-phrase backup is available through iCloud or Google Drive with a user-controlled password.
Supported networks include Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, TRON, TON, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain, Aptos and Sui. The wallet offers same-chain and cross-chain swaps, staking for ETH, BNB, SOL, ADA, TRX and more than 20 other proof-of-stake assets, plus NFT support and WalletConnect. Perpetual futures are available through integrated providers, with more than 300 pairs listed on the website.
Trust Wallet lists $0 fees for staking, buying, sending and receiving. Swaps can involve provider or network costs, while selected stablecoin swaps had 0% swap fees on most major blockchains in August 2026. In-app purchases use third-party providers and support cards and bank transfers, as well as Apple Pay, for more than 60 cryptocurrencies across 180+ countries.
The wallet itself requires no KYC. Payment providers may apply their own onboarding requirements. The mobile app is available on iOS and Android, while the browser extension supports Chrome and Chromium-based browsers including Brave and Edge.
Trust Wallet obtained ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications. Its open-source Wallet Core library handles key generation and transaction signing, as well as address derivation. In December 2025, a malicious Chrome extension version 2.68 was distributed after a leaked Chrome Web Store API key was used in a supply-chain attack. The incident caused approximately $7 million in theft, affected users who logged in before December 26, 2025 at 11:00 UTC, and was addressed with clean version 2.69 and a reimbursement process. Mobile apps and blockchains were not affected.
Self-custody leaves seed-phrase loss, phishing, malware and malicious dApp approvals with the wallet holder. Browser extensions also carry software supply-chain risk. Swaps add provider and network costs, while staking rewards vary and are not guaranteed.

Trust Wallet combines broad self-custody support with mobile and browser access, but the 2025 malicious extension incident adds a serious security trade-off.
Trust Wallet is a self-custodial wallet for iOS, Android and Chrome, with private keys and seed phrases held by the user. That custody model gives users direct control and avoids an exchange account, but it also leaves recovery entirely dependent on the seed phrase. There is no account, email, phone number or KYC requirement for the wallet itself.
Trust Wallet supports more than 100 blockchains and more than 10 million digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, TON, Tron, Cosmos, Sui and Aptos. It has mobile apps and a Chrome extension.
Users can buy crypto through integrated providers, swap on the same or across different chains, stake supported assets and hold NFTs. The app also supports WalletConnect and offers perpetual futures through integrated providers, with more than 300 pairs listed. Swaps and third-party on-ramps can add provider costs beyond the wallet's stated $0 fees for staking, buying, sending and receiving.
Security has documented safeguards and a serious weakness. Trust Wallet has ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, biometric protection and a security scanner. Its Wallet Core library is open source. In December 2025, however, a compromised Chrome extension version 2.68 distributed through a leaked Chrome Web Store API key led to about $7 million in theft. Trust Wallet replaced it with version 2.69 and opened reimbursement for affected users; mobile apps and the underlying blockchains were not affected.
