XT.COM is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange operating since 2018, providing spot, margin, and derivatives trading across more than 1,000 coins and trading pairs. Headquartered in Seychelles and operated by Fibtc Ltd, the platform combines standard retail trading with algorithmic bots, copy trading, and an ecosystem token, XT.
Corporate background and leadership
XT.COM was established in 2018 by co-founders Weber Woo and Ada Too, who have since departed. The platform is operated by Fibtc Ltd and led by CEO Albin Warin, a French entrepreneur with background experience in finance and neuroscience. Operational entities are maintained internationally, including an operational presence in Poland.
Trading mechanics and asset selection
XT.COM functions on a centralized custodial model where users deposit digital assets directly into exchange-managed wallets. The platform features an extensive catalog of spot pairs, alongside perpetual futures offering leverage up to 125x. In addition to manual order books, users have access to grid trading bots, copy trading systems, peer-to-peer (P2P) fiat settlement, and earn products across major cryptocurrencies and emerging tokens.
Fees and access requirements
Standard spot trading fees are set at 0.2% for both makers and takers. Unverified accounts can access basic platform functions with a daily withdrawal ceiling of up to $200,000 without completing KYC. However, geographic restrictions apply: residents and citizens of the United States are prohibited under the platform terms, and access in the United Arab Emirates has faced regulatory hurdles after Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) issued a notice regarding unauthorized operations.
Security track record and operational risks
On November 28, 2024, XT.COM suffered an access control breach on an operational hot wallet, resulting in the theft of approximately $1.7 million, which the attacker converted into 461.58 ETH. The exchange suspended withdrawals temporarily and absorbed the loss from its reserve assets. User balances remained intact. The platform publishes Merkle-tree proof of reserves covering assets such as BTC, ETH, and USDT. Because XT.COM is centralized, users take on custodial counterparty risk and face regulatory exposure in jurisdictions where the platform operates without formal licensing.
