Strengths and weaknesses
Pros	Open-source infrastructure with more than 7,500 active nodes globally Hardware routers do not require locked ANYONE tokens to operate Layered 3-hop encryption avoids centralized VPN points of failure Over 80 GB/s in aggregate decentralized routing bandwidth	Supports transaction simulation and debugging across 50+ EVM chains Provides Virtual TestNets synced directly with real-time on-chain state Raised $58.6M in funding from institutional backers including Spark Capital Offers a free tier for essential debugging and simulation tasks
Cons	Virtual relays require locking 100 ANYONE tokens to claim rewards Operator earnings depend directly on ANYONE token market volatility Relay setup requires manual router port forwarding on port 9001 Weekly reward claims are forfeited if eligibility conditions lapse	Node RPC access requires a paid subscription plan Centralized monitoring infrastructure creates operational vendor dependency Focused exclusively on EVM networks without non-EVM support
Best for	Privacy-focused developers routing app traffic, Hardware operators earning relay bandwidth rewards, Users avoiding centralized commercial VPN services	Smart contract protocol developers, DeFi risk engineering teams, Institutions managing multisig governance
