CoinStats is a cryptocurrency portfolio tracker and market data aggregator that connects centralized exchanges, on-chain wallets, and decentralized finance protocols into a unified dashboard. The platform tracks over 20,000 coins across 120 blockchains and more than 300 wallet and exchange providers, aggregating holdings to compute real-time balances and profit-and-loss metrics.
Company background and funding
CoinStats was founded by Chief Executive Officer Narek Gevorgyan and is headquartered in Yerevan, Armenia. In April 2022, the company closed a $3.2 million seed funding round led by Hack VC, with participation from 6th Man Ventures. By that time, CoinStats reported 1.2 million monthly active users and over $500 billion in cumulatively tracked assets, including $20 billion synced through direct exchange connections.
How portfolio tracking works
The core application operates through read-only connections and public address monitoring. Users track portfolios by pasting public blockchain addresses or integrating read-only exchange API keys from venues like Binance and Coinbase. The platform aggregates holdings across networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Base, TON, and Cosmos, alongside positions in more than 10,000 DeFi protocols. Beyond portfolio monitoring, CoinStats provides aggregated token swaps, an all-in-one developer crypto API supporting the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and tracking for prediction platforms like Kalshi.
Access and operational risks
CoinStats is accessible through web browsers and mobile applications on iOS and Android. While the platform does not take custody of private keys for standard tracking, users face the standard operational risks of portfolio management aggregators. Connecting exchange API keys or linking active wallet addresses exposes financial privacy and creates potential attack vectors if API permissions are misconfigured with trade or withdrawal access.
